The Ontario Energy Board has ordered Hydro One to eliminate “Seasonal Rate Class”. This will profoundly change billing for many cottagers, nearly doubling the rates for nearly 80,000 cottage families in Ontario. Many Clear Lake residents may be affected.
The Federation of Ontario Cottagers Association (FOCA) is advocating against this proposed change on behalf of all Ontario cottagers as outlined on the website at: https://foca.on.ca
CLCA encourages all members, especially our cottagers to read up on the proposed changes and possible ramifications.
For your convenience, FOCA has also implemented on-line software enabling you to send an email to your cottage MPP.
That's right, folks! You read that correctly, you can now e-transfer membership fee's. A great convenience we hope you all will appreciate.
